Omega Healthcare Investors and Foundation Partners have expanded their UK partnership with the £615 million (€737mln) acquisition of Runwood Homes, adding 55 care homes to the Evera Living operating platform.

The deal grows Omega’s UK portfolio to more than 350 homes and marks a major step in the partners’ plan to build a large, care‑first national operator in a market defined by rising demand and constrained capacity.
Evera Living’s strategy combines long‑term capital from Foundation Partners and Omega with a disciplined operating model focused on clinical accountability, governance and person‑centred care. Investment will be directed into buildings, recruitment, training, systems and care technology to improve daily life for residents and give staff more time to care. The platform aims to build constructive partnerships with families, regulators and commissioners, supported by transparent communication and sustainable operating plans.
Evera Living will be led by newly appointed CEO John Forrest, formerly COO of Spire Healthcare, and COO Vishul Seewoolall, previously COO of Signature Care and a regional operations director at Bupa. Together they bring more than 45 years of senior operational experience in the care sector.
Omega has been investing in UK care for many years and already owned around 300 facilities as of October 2026. Foundation Partners has invested approximately £750 million into healthcare over the past decade and has built and managed six care platforms totalling more than 3,000 beds before the Runwood acquisition.
Foundation Partners co‑founder Ben Puddle said the partnership is backed by evergreen capital with a long‑term perspective, aiming to build a multinational, multi‑service care platform focused on homes, people and technology. Omega CIO Vikas Gupta described the deal as a landmark investment that reflects Omega’s ambition to support outstanding healthcare businesses with flexible, permanent capital.
Runwood Homes founder Gordon Sanders said the business is operating from a position of strength and paid tribute to the commitment of its teams. Knight Frank advised on the sale, with partner Julian Evans noting that Runwood has grown into an outstanding elderly care business with 55 facilities and nearly 4,000 registered beds.
Forrest said Evera Living will strengthen operations from the ground up, with regulation, compliance and high‑quality care at the centre of every decision, and emphasised a smooth transition for residents and colleagues.
