Panattoni secures €24m loan for Polish logistics park

Panattoni has secured a €24 mln loan from PKO Bank Polski to expand its Panattoni Park Zgierz II in Poland.

This 70,000 m2 expansion will accommodate a new 32,000 m2 distribution centre for a major Polish drugstore chain, increasing their footprint at the park to 50,000 m2. 
Additionally, Polish cosmetics manufacturer Bielenda will lease 10,500 m2 for a new central warehouse serving domestic and international distribution. 
Once complete, the entire park will total 120,000 m2 and hold a BREEAM Excellent certification for sustainability.
Emilia Taczewska-Trojańska, head of Debt Finance Poland at Panattoni, said: “This facility is of strategic importance not only to our business partners but also to the entire region, generating new jobs and contributing to the development of modern logistics. The financing obtained from PKO Bank Polski marks another step in Panattoni’s dynamic expansion and confirms the company’s strong position in the industrial real estate market. Panattoni Park Zgierz II boasts a prime location with excellent transportation links. Its proximity to the A1 and A2 motorways provides easy access to major Polish and European markets. Being close to Łódź and Zgierz also ensures a readily available skilled labour pool.
