This strategic hire aims to fortify the firm’s smart real asset commercial platform within its primary European growth sectors.

Operating out of Frankfurt, Hartmann will oversee Patrizia’s core commercial fund portfolio. His primary objectives include optimising portfolio performance and driving the expansion of the company’s core commercial operations.

Hartmann brings more than two decades of expertise in institutional portfolio management, investment strategy, and fund structuring.

He has extensive experience in underwriting, due diligence, and transaction advisory across all asset classes, as well as a proven history of expanding real asset platforms and leading multi-disciplinary teams.

Before joining Patrizia, Hartmann held several high-level positions, including head of Business Development and Strategy at Industria Immobilien, head of Transactions Real Assets and head of Real Estate at Helaba Invest, and senior advisory consultant and manager at PwC.

Mahdi Mokrane, Patrizia's co-head of Fund Management and head of Fund Management Real Estate, said: Steffen’s experience and skillset complement our strategy through his leadership experience in core commercial fund management. I believe we have found a strong and dedicated leader whose cross-functional management experience, investment culture, and investment expertise will help us drive our commercial fund management platform into the new cycle.”

Konrad Finkenzeller, Patrizia's head of Client Division, added: “Steffen's experience in risk analysis, investor communication, business development and capital-raising, as well as regulatory alignment, will bring important expertise to Patrizia. He is already familiar with Patrizia, having invested in some of our funds in the past and served on several advisory committees, including some of Patrizia's hospitality and health care funds.”
