Thomas Dänzel, a seasoned expert, will lead the portfolio development, aiming for a stable, diversified portfolio across Germany, with a focus on adding value through active management and targeted investments.

This platform already manages over 100,000 m².

Last year, Peakside completed over €360 mln in transactions, around 30,000 m² of newly leased space, and the acquisition of approximately 130,000 m².

Key acquisitions included the Options office property in Frankfurt and the first transaction within its “Prime Assets” strategy: the historic Alte Börse in Munich. They also celebrated the topping-out of a sustainable logistics centre in Burgbernheim, near Nuremberg, which will feature two modern warehouses aiming for DGNB Gold certification.

Boris Schran, founding partner of Peakside, said: “In 2025, we laid the groundwork for our future growth with the launch of the new Prime Assets mandate and the further development of our living and food retail strategies.”

Frank Schäfer, a partner at Peakside, added: “We are preparing to launch a new fund focused on Germany in the second half of 2026. The value-add fund will continue our proven, value-creation-oriented strategy and specifically address current market distortions – such as acquisitions arising from special situations, as well as repositioning and distress situations.”

Simon Lutz, a partner at Peakside, commented: “On the acquisition side, we continue to actively seek out opportunities in the areas of special situations, residential property and food retail for our value-add fund. For our Prime Assets mandate, we are also reviewing properties of all types in the prime locations of Germany’s top seven cities.”
