Ray Crowley, Director at BCP Capital, has been named the new chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Ireland National Council by ULI Europe.

Marie Hunt, Ray Crowley
Crowley will serve for a two-year term, taking over from Marie Hunt of IPUT, who successfully completed her tenure. Hunt's leadership saw increased collaboration with public bodies and growth in ULI Ireland's corporate membership.
Crowley, a ULI member since 2007 and a ULI Ireland Executive Committee member since 2013, also serves on the ULI Europe Operational Real Estate Product Council.
He brings a wealth of real estate leadership experience from Ireland, the UK, and the US, covering direct real estate, listed real estate, sustainability consulting, and public policy.
Outgoing chair Marie Hunt said: “It has been a real privilege to lead ULI in Ireland, and I’d like to thank everyone involved for their collaboration, contribution and support over the last two years. I am pleased to welcome Ray as my successor, and am certain that under his leadership, ULI will continue to flourish in Ireland, delivering a programme with the highest levels of excellence to our members.”
Ray Crowley, director, BCP Capital commented: “I am humbled to be appointed as chair of the Urban Land Institute in Ireland for the next two years following Marie’s highly successful tenure. ULI’s mission is to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. During my tenure as chairperson, I will work closely with the executive committee to explore the themes of urban regeneration, the delivery of large-scale mixed tenure housing on public land and how to broaden the mix of domestic and international core long-term capital active in Ireland’s real estate economy.”
Lisette van Doorn, CEO of ULI Europe, concluded: “Welcome to Ray, a prominent and experienced leader in the real estate industry in both Ireland and Europe, and a very active ULI member, as he takes the reins at ULI Ireland over the next two years. His expertise and strong network, commitment to ULI’s mission and objectives, and ambition to growing the membership and leveraging ULI’s network internationally to exchange ideas as he focuses on many of the current real estate challenges faced in Ireland, makes him an ideal chair to both lead and further develop ULI in Ireland.”
