The asset was jointly developed by Garbe Industrial and Bremer Projektentwicklung, who have now completed the sale to Redevco. The transaction closed on 16 September 2026, with the parties agreeing not to disclose the price.
The acquisition adds a modern, sustainability‑led asset to Redevco’s growing logistics portfolio, increasing its platform to approximately 15 million sq ft and €1.05 billion of assets under management across 40 assets.
Located at Hamborner Straße 32–34, the c. 30,000 sq m park comprises three mid‑box logistics buildings on a 56,000 sq m former industrial site that Garbe and Bremer remediated and redeveloped. The buildings are 96% occupied across five tenants, predominantly from the e‑commerce sector.
The development incorporates extensive sustainability features, including 6,380 rooftop photovoltaic modules with a combined peak output of 2.647 MW, heat‑pump heating systems, LED lighting and EV charging infrastructure. The partners are targeting DGNB Gold certification for the asset.
Peter Bartholomäus, CIO of Garbe Industrial, said the sale concludes the successful transformation of a complex brownfield site into a modern multi‑user logistics park. “Signing within the six‑week exclusivity period reflects both the strong interest in the property and the professionalism of all parties involved.”
Bremer acted as both joint venture partner and general contractor. Bernd Jungholt, Managing Director of Bremer Projektentwicklung, said the integrated development and construction approach enabled fast, cost‑efficient decision‑making on a site with varied usage requirements.
Camila Malzkorn, head of transaction management Logistics DACH at Redevco, said: “Multi‑User Park Duisburg is a substantial addition to our German logistics portfolio and reinforces our conviction in the long‑term fundamentals of the Rhine‑Ruhr region. The diversified occupier base provides resilient income alongside attractive potential for future value creation. We look forward to further opportunities to collaborate with GARBE Industrial.”
The joint venture was advised by GT Law, Colliers and HLB Stückmann. Redevco was supported by Hogan Lovells Cadwalader, Goldbeck Services, Nova Ambiente and CBRE’s valuation team.
