Savills Investment Management (Savills IM) has appointed Alex Griffiths as global head of client capital, strengthening the firm’s global capital raising and investor relations capabilities as it continues to scale across key international markets.

Alex Griffiths
Griffiths joins from AEW Europe, where she spent nearly 13 years and most recently served as managing director and head of investor relations. During her tenure, she led capital raising, client relationship management, project management and investor servicing functions, contributing to more than €30 billion of capital raised across funds, separate accounts, co‑investments and joint ventures.
In her new role, Griffiths will oversee Savills IM’s global client capital strategy, leading capital formation and investor engagement across the UK, Europe and APAC. Savills IM manages €25.5 billion of assets across debt and equity strategies and employs more than 330 people across 15 locations. The firm invests across multiple residential and commercial sectors through discretionary funds, joint ventures and separately managed accounts, and recently expanded its APAC leadership with the appointment of Shu Watanabe as Head of Japan.
Griffiths said the industry is evolving toward more flexible access to real estate. “It is a privilege to join Savills IM during a period of expansion and growth. Investors increasingly prioritise versatile access to real estate, and the business’ ability to deliver strategies across the capital stack and multiple sectors provides a strong foundation for this diversification. Our global reach, paired with deep local teams, allows us to source high‑conviction, differentiated opportunities and build long‑term value for clients.”
Michael Neal, Global CIO and Interim CEO at Savills IM, said Griffiths’ appointment reflects the firm’s commitment to deepening investor relationships. “Alex brings an exceptional level of expertise and experience. Her track record in capital raising and relationship management for leading institutional investors will be invaluable as we continue to scale. This appointment underscores our focus on offering clients high‑quality opportunities across different products and strategies.”
