Savills Ireland Acquires The Building Consultancy

Savills Ireland has announced its acquisition of The Building Consultancy, an independent firm specialising in building and project consultancy established in 2007.

This acquisition significantly enhances Savills' capabilities in building surveying and project consultancy. The Building Consultancy brings nearly two decades of experience in the Irish market, known for its expertise in advising occupiers, funders, commercial property owners, and professional advisors. Their services span Technical Due Diligence, Pre-acquisition Surveys, Development Monitoring, Project Management, Cost Consultancy, Building Surveying, and Interior Architecture and Design.
With the integration of The Building Consultancy team, Savills Ireland now boasts over 30 specialists in these fields, making it one of the largest providers of building consultancy services in the Irish market. The directors of The Building Consultancy—Alan Baldwin, Hugh Holt, Ken Mulligan, and Karl O'Donovan—are seasoned professionals with extensive experience from leading architectural and surveying practices across Ireland and Europe. They have served a diverse client base, including financial institutions, pension funds, and various occupiers.
This marks Savills Ireland's second acquisition in the last year, following its purchase of Northern Ireland-based commercial property advisory firm Osborne King in 2025.
