Savills has merged its operations in Spain and Portugal to create Savills Iberia, effective immediately.

This new combined platform will be led by CEO Jaime Pascual-Sanchiz and will comprise over 1000 employees. Pedro Figueiras will head the Lisbon office, and Ricardo Valente will continue to lead the Porto office.
This consolidation comes as both Spain and Portugal show strong performance and appeal in the European real estate market. Spain has risen to become the most favoured investment market in Europe, up from fourth place in 2024, driven by robust economic growth and anticipated rental increases. Portugal has also seen a year-on-year improvement due to its stronger economic performance.
Both Iberian economies are projected to be among Europe's fastest-growing until 2026, making them attractive to institutional and international investors seeking long-term stability and income growth. The region also boasts a positive outlook for inflation and employment, with improving GDP per capita. Oxford Economics forecasts that Southern European economies, including Iberia, along with Central and Eastern Europe, will experience the strongest GDP growth this year.
Savills expects this strategic move to further solidify its market dominance.
James Sparrow, CEO UK and EMEA at Savills, said: “Savills Iberia will operate as one region, reflecting the way in which our clients operate, to allow us to ensure a seamless service within Iberia. We have built out our teams across the region to ensure a full-service offer, most recently launching a rural division and boosting our residential teams. This follows the successful launch of our Savills Central and Eastern Europe platform in 2023.”
Jaime Pascual-Sanchiz, CEO Savills Iberia, added: “Savills Iberian platform will see divisions and teams join to leverage the strengths of both businesses. Closer collaboration will help us optimise operational support, and this is a huge opportunity for us to grow market share as a combined force for the benefit of our clients.”
