Schroders Capital, the private markets division of Schroders, has sold the Aloft Brussels Schuman hotel to Pestana Hotel Group.

The sale was made on behalf of Schroders Capital clients, including Extendam.
The Aloft Brussels Schuman is a 4-star hotel situated in Brussels' European quarter, featuring 150 rooms, a bar, two restaurants, meeting facilities, a fitness centre, and parking. It's conveniently located near the city centre and key EU institutions like the European Parliament.
After acquiring the hotel in 2019, Schroders Capital revamped its operations. This included changing the management agreement with Marriott International to a franchise agreement and implementing a capital expenditure program.
Schroders Capital's hotel platform manages €3.6 bn in hotel assets, from independent assets to those operating under third-party management or lease agreements.

The sale of the Aloft Brussels Schuman was managed by Jones Lang Lasalle and drew significant interest from both local and international investors.
Schroders Capital and its clients received advisory services from JLL Hotels for brokerage and Loyens for tax and legal matters.
