The hires reinforce Silverton’s strategy to broaden its financing expertise and deepen its restructuring and transactions platform.

Matern joins in a newly created role and will act as the first point of contact for clients and prospective investors. He brings several years of experience in private real estate debt, most recently as Investment Director at HFS Helvetic Financial Services AG, where he was responsible for structuring and executing real estate financings. His previous roles include positions at Lenwood Capital and Linus Digital Finance. He holds a Master of Science in International Finance from Nova School of Business and Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Applied Sciences for the Bavarian Economy.

Jascha Hofferbert, Managing Partner at Silverton, said Matern’s appointment adds proven financing expertise to the firm and will support the expansion of its private debt investment activities, enabling Silverton to offer additional financing solutions to investors.

Silverton has also strengthened its real estate investments & restructuring division with the appointment of Sven Sivarajah as senior investment manager. He joins the team led by Michael Gail, Director of real estate & restructuring and head of transactions, and reports directly to him.

Sivarajah previously served as associate director of capital markets at Knight Frank Germany, where he managed purchase and sale mandates for institutional investors, family offices, high‑net‑worth individuals and developers. Before that, he oversaw property transactions totalling more than €1 billion across multiple asset classes at CBRE Investment Management.

The appointments reflect Silverton’s continued investment in strengthening its private debt offering and expanding its real estate restructuring and transactions capabilities.
