Stoneweg, acting for its Stoneweg Europe Stapled Trust (SERT), has purchased a high-quality, freehold temperature-controlled logistics property in Waddinxveen, the Netherlands.

Transportweg 23-25, Waddinxveen
The acquisition, from a fund managed by Aberdeen, includes the Transportweg 23-25 facility.
The property spans 30,398 m2 of net lettable area, primarily warehousing with some office space, situated on a 70,000 m2 plot. The main building (Transportweg 23) underwent expansion and refurbishment between 2018 and 2020, with solar panels added in 2022, earning it an A+++++ energy rating. The adjacent Transportweg 25 was newly built in 2022.
Strategically located at Distripark A12 in Waddinxveen, within the Bleiswijk–Waddinxveen logistics zone, the site offers excellent access to major motorways (A12 and A20). This provides quick links to Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam, and Utrecht. This corridor is a vital hub for food distribution, horticulture, and retail logistics in a highly populated and economically active European region.
This marks SERT's first property acquisition since 2022 and significantly enhances its Dutch portfolio.
Gijs Vissers, director Transactions Benelux at Stoneweg, said: ‘We are very pleased to execute this transaction and were attracted by the long-term stable income and long-term value creation opportunities’.
This acquisition marks the tenth logistics transaction for Stoneweg Netherlands within the past year, strengthening its position as a major investor in the Dutch logistics market.
The deal was identified directly by Stoneweg's local team. Stoneweg received advisory services from Dentons and SGS Search, while NL real estate | Knight Frank and DLA Piper advised the seller.
