The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
This marks the group’s 18th Supernova-branded centre in the country, strengthening its presence in the Dalmatia region. Park&Shop Imotski features over 10,000 m2 of retail space, with more than 20 stores and services offering a wide array of products, from groceries and fashion to cosmetics and leisure items. Key tenants include Konzum, Bipa, Müller, Deichmann, and JYSK.
The centre also provides amenities such as free parking with over 500 spaces, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a children's play area, and a café. Following this latest acquisition, Supernova Group’s Croatian portfolio now comprises shopping centres across 11 cities.
Markus Pinggera, managing director of Supernova Group, said: “In the first quarter, several new brands are set to open in the shopping centre, including Tom Tailor, Europa 92 and Optotim, as well as new entertainment offerings for children. The shopping centre will be upgraded in line with Supernova standards, including enhancements to the retail offering, spatial functionality, visual identity, and the overall customer experience, ensuring full alignment with our other locations.”
Separately, Poland’s DFRG Investment Group has entered the Croatian market with the acquisition of the ZTC Rijeka shopping centre, valued at over CZK 1 bn (€40 mln).
The company’s plans for the fully occupied centre, which attracts three million visitors annually, include further modernisation and improvements to its energy efficiency.
According to DFRG, Rijeka, as Croatia's third-largest city and a vital industrial hub, offers an opportunity for geographical diversification due to its increasing purchasing power and growing tourism sector.
This deal is part of DFRG’s strategy to expand into Southeast Europe, following recent expansions in Budapest, Warsaw, and the purchase of the Polygon House building in Prague.
