Urban Partners offloads over €1b in Nordic logistics assets

Urban Partners has sold over €1 bn in logistics properties from its Nordic portfolio, demonstrating strong market demand and the renewed availability of funds in the market.

The company divested two separate logistics portfolios, one of which was the largest direct logistics portfolio sale in the Nordics in nearly five years, valued at approximately €830 mln. 
This larger portfolio, consisting of 20 modern logistics properties totalling over 600,000 m2 across Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, was acquired by public logistics property company Catena. 
The second transaction involved five high-quality logistics properties in Sweden and Denmark, totalling 118,000 m2, and was sold to the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and its operating partner Fokus Nordic.
The strong demand for Nordic logistics is driven by factors like increasing e-commerce, rising rents, and a shortage of modern facilities. 
Even after these significant sales, Urban Partners remains a leading logistics investment manager in the region, with a continued focus on the sector in Northern Europe and a substantial pipeline of assets.
