Danish residential real estate company Velkomn, supported by Matter Real Estate, has agreed to purchase a portfolio of 458 contemporary townhouses from asset manager ArthaScope.

Townhouses in Denmark - Velkomn
This acquisition will boost Velkomn's total housing portfolio to over 1,600 homes and increase its balance sheet to more than DKK 3.7 bn (€496.2 mln) once current construction projects are finished.
The 458 properties, collectively spanning 44,500 m2, are situated in the Danish municipalities of Odense, Vejle, Kolding, Fredericia, Odder, and Middelfart—regions exhibiting strong potential for population and job growth. This acquisition significantly strengthens Velkomn's presence in key growth municipalities, particularly within the strategically important Triangle area, which serves as a central hub connecting several major Danish cities.
These modern and energy-efficient townhouses were built within the last four years.
The agreement further enhances Velkomn's existing Jutland portfolio, which includes residential developments like Øhaven in Fredericia and Esthers Have in Kolding.
Peter Uldall Borch, CEO, Velkomn, said: “These are attractive locations and high-quality homes that fit perfectly with our strategy. The agreement strengthens our position in the Triangle area and supports our ambition to deliver modern, energy-efficient homes close to Denmark's largest cities. An overlooked area like Odder is a good example of how our data and thorough analyses have made it possible to find a number of hidden gems. We have no plans to slow down. We continue to search for the right projects and partnerships, primarily on Zealand.”
David Christie, CEO, Matter Real Estate, commented: "This acquisition strengthens Matter Real Estate's mission to create high-quality, sustainable residential areas across Europe. Building on a proven track record of scaling platform investments, we are very proud to both strengthen our partnership with Velkomn and expand our presence across Denmark."
Jan Severin Sølbæk, CEO, ArthaScope, added: “We are pleased that our construction industry can attract a competent and experienced player like Velkomn and look forward to letting them continue the portfolio for the benefit of the residents. Overall, it has been a sensible investment for our investors, considering that we have also had to navigate a difficult property market with historic interest rate increases.”
In 2025 alone, Velkomn acquired three building plots near Copenhagen, commenced its largest construction project to date, reported robust annual financial results, and expanded its portfolio to exceed 1,600 homes.
For this transaction, Velkomn received advisory services from Mazanti-Andersen, NIRAS, and EY. ArthaScope was advised by DLA Piper and Edelbo.
