Pan-European logistics real estate specialist Verdion has expanded its German team with three new hires to bolster its focus on acquisitions.

Kraatz, Sukhina, Weinel
Kai Kraatz has been appointed as Land Acquisition director, a newly created position based in Frankfurt. Kraatz, previously a Development director at CTP and Landmarken, will concentrate on acquiring new sites for urban logistics and other value-add opportunities in key locations across Germany.
Kateryna Sukhina joins as senior asset manager in Düsseldorf, bringing over 10 years of experience from Mileway, where she managed a nationwide logistics portfolio. She will now oversee the management, strategic development, and value enhancement of Verdion's existing assets in Germany.
Felix Weinel has joined as an investment analyst, based in Frankfurt. With a Masters in Real Estate Investment and experience at the Institut für Immobilienökonomie, Weinel will support Verdion's investment specialists in asset acquisition and fund reporting.
Verdion's core focus remains on urban logistics, value-add projects, strategic parks, and complex build-to-suit developments.
A key strategic objective for Verdion in Germany is deploying funds from its second European Logistics Fund, VELF 2, which closed at €300 mln at the end of 2024. VELF 2 is focused on acquiring and repositioning under-capitalized and under-managed logistics properties in established locations across Northern Europe, pursuing a value-add strategy.
In June 2025, Verdion acquired a brownfield site in Rastatt, near the German-French border. The company has a pipeline of further acquisitions planned, primarily targeting Germany, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
Moritz Heißenberg, country manager Germany, at Verdion, said: “These new team members add important momentum to Verdion’s current growth. Their entrepreneurial thinking, positive approach, and specialist expertise in a range of areas will be key attributes in driving the business forward across German,y and I speak for the entire Executive Board in saying they will be valued members of the team.”
