This facility, part of their European Logistics Fund 2 (VELF 2), will offer over 31,000 m2 of modern warehouse space, designed with a strong focus on sustainability and aiming for a BREEAM Excellent rating.
The project, which will be completed in mid-2027, will provide up to six units of 4,000 m2. It will double the quantum of floorspace currently available at the 4.7-ha brownfield site.
The strategic location of the logistics asset provides easy access to Copenhagen, western Denmark, and Sweden.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-2027 and will significantly increase the available logistics space in the area.
Verdion's VELF 2 fund, which closed with over €300 mln, is also supporting other developments in Denmark, including a cosmetics distribution centre near Helsingør and a completed distribution centre in Horsens.
Peter Michael Tetzlaff, head of Investment – Nordics, at Verdion, said: “With the recent opening of Copenhagen’s new light rail services, longstanding commercial hubs west of the city are emerging as new residential clusters, home to increasing numbers of new residents. Amid this transformation, our scheme will be one of only a few new facilities retaining its industrial & logistics designation, providing modern space in an undersupplied market, and capitalising on new consumers as well as being within easy reach of the capital. It is an excellent location with enormous potential.”
John Clements, executive director and head of Nordics & UK at Verdion, added: “This acquisition marks a further step forward in our Nordics development plans, complementing major strategic parks such as E20 Park Copenhagen and the newly-announced iPort Zealand multimodal hub in Ringsted. We have a strong pipeline of urban logistics opportunities moving forward, responding to immediate occupier and consumer demand with a value-add approach that leverages our business’s technical expertise.”
