VGP enters North Rhine-Westphalia with Hagen acquisition

Pan-European logistics developer VGP has purchased the 280,000 m² site of the former Kabel Premium Pulp & Paper paper mill in Hagen, near Dortmund, with plans to develop a modern business park.

This marks VGP's first land acquisition in North Rhine-Westphalia. 
Purchased from the insolvency administrator, the Hagen site is strategically located just 20 minutes from Dortmund's city centre, providing excellent access to the Ruhr area.
VGP intends to gradually convert the area into a business and industrial park, attracting companies from the production, light industrial, and logistics industries. The company is targeting at least DGNB Gold certification for the new buildings, emphasizing sustainability and aiming to reduce CO₂ emissions during construction in line with EU Taxonomy requirements.
VGP is collaborating with the City of Hagen and its economic development agency. 
Located at Schwerter Straße 263 in Hagen's Kabel district, the site is near the A1 motorway (Hagen-Nord exit) and is well-connected to the regional industrial and logistics network.

Our goal is to transform the site into a modern business park – our first in North Rhine-Westphalia – that combines and secures production, logistics, and sustainable energy supply.”
