European logistics developer VGP has completed VGP Park Legnano, establishing a new logistics hub on the outskirts of Milan.

VGP Park Legnano
The new facility, built on a 50,000 m² site, offers over 22,000 m² of modern logistics space to its first tenants, Melchioni Car System and GymBeam. The park is strategically located in Legnano, just 500 metres from the A8 motorway connecting to Milan and the A4 motorway, a key transport network in northern Italy.
The project transformed the former Cantoni cotton mill site, preserving historical elements like the original gatehouse and trees. VGP, known for its commitment to sustainability and brownfield regeneration, oversaw the site's remediation, turning a disused industrial area into an efficient, urban-integrated complex.
VGP Park Legnano features extensive green areas, including an 8,000 m² green façade on Via Juker. It achieved the highest BREEAM "Outstanding" certification, the first building in Italy across all categories to do so, thanks to its high energy and sustainability standards, including a 1 MWp photovoltaic system for renewable energy generation.
Lorenzo Radice, mayor of the Municipality of Legnano, said: “The completion of VGP Park Legnano marks the recovery and redevelopment of a portion of the city’s territory, which is once again becoming a workplace after many years of disuse as an industrial site.”
Since 2018, VGP has developed a network of eleven business parks across the country. These parks collectively encompass over 890,000 m² of owned land and approximately 243,000 m² of leased space.
In Lombardy, VGP's portfolio includes VGP Park Calcio (Bergamo), VGP Park Sordio (Lodi), the under-development VGP Park Paderno Dugnano, and VGP Park Legnano (north Milan). In the Veneto region, VGP operates VGP Park Padova. Emilia-Romagna hosts five of the Group's business parks: two in Bologna province (VGP Park Valsamoggia and VGP Park Valsamoggia 2), three in Parma (VGP Park Parma Lumière, VGP Park Parma Paradigna, and VGP Park Parma Morse), and one in Reggio Emilia (VGP Park Reggio Emilia Gavassa).
