Sustainable fashion outlet centre owner and operator Via Outlets has acquired The Outlet Stores Alicante from UBS Asset Management.

The Outlet Stores, Alicante
This purchase strengthens Via Outlets' presence in Spain, adding a third centre to its Iberian portfolio alongside Mallorca Fashion Outlet and Sevilla Fashion Outlet, and enhancing operational efficiencies and brand partnerships.
This acquisition is Via Outlets' second major investment in 2026, following its entry into the Italian market last week with the acquisition of Scala Milano Outlet & More. These two deals increase the company's total gross lettable area to 361,000 m2, encompassing nearly 1,500 stores and attracting over 44 million annual visitors.
The Outlet Stores Alicante, which opened in 2004, spans 36,000 m2 and is located in San Vicente del Raspeig, next to the University of Alicante. It houses over 50 fashion and sport brands like Adidas, Bimba Y Lola, Guess, Geox, Levi’s, Nike, and Scalpers, along with 22 restaurants, a cinema, and a bowling alley.
In 2025, the centre attracted over 6.8 million visitors, benefiting from its prime location near Alicante's ring road and Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández Airport, which saw over 18 million passengers in 2024. The centre serves both local residents and the significant international tourism market of the Costa Blanca.
Otto Ambagtsheer, CEO of Via Outlets, said: “The acquisition of The Outlet Stores Alicante is an important step in Via Outlets’ inorganic growth strategy that builds on our successful track record in Spain with our two other centres: Mallorca Fashion Outlet and Sevilla Fashion Outlet. We see strong potential in Alicante to enhance the brand mix, refresh the overall guest experience, and deepen partnerships with local stakeholders. By applying our proven 3R strategy of remerchandising, remodelling, and remarketing, we will create an even more compelling destination for guests and brand partners.”
David Kervyn de Lettenhove, regional business director Iberia of Via Outlets, added: “We look forward to collaborating with the city and our brand partners to strengthen Alicante’s role as a shopping and leisure hub for residents, students, and the millions of international visitors who come to the Costa Blanca throughout the year.”
