This expansion, which adds 4,862 m², aims to strengthen the outlet's position in the DACH region.
The Landquart Fashion Outlet, located near popular Swiss alpine resorts like St. Moritz and Davos, now features around 100 stores offering over 170 premium brands in fashion, lifestyle, and sports. The extension includes 15 new units, enhanced food and beverage options, and a modernised architectural design. This development is expected to create about 200 new jobs, boosting the economy of the Graubünden region and attracting more international and local visitors.
New international brands such as Coach, Carhartt WIP, American Vintage, and Birkenstock have opened, alongside expanded stores for existing partners like Nike, Calvin Klein, and PME Legend. Notably, the outlet now hosts Switzerland's largest Nike factory store. More dining options are planned for 2026.
In preparation for the expansion, a new four-story car park with 1,550 spaces was built, which also includes Switzerland's largest fast-charging park for electric vehicles, featuring 30 charging points. The entire operation of the Landquart Fashion Outlet runs on 100% renewable energy, aligning with VIA Outlets' commitment to sustainability.
Otto Ambagtsheer, CEO of VIA Outlets, said: “Our investment in the new extension of Landquart Fashion Outlet reflects our focused market repositioning of the centre in the past 12 years. Through our 3R strategy of Remodelling, Remerchandising and Remarketing, it has attracted many new premium brands and driven strong growth in brand sales and footfall. Landquart Fashion Outlets’ success is further evidence of the broader trend in pan-European retail markets, with premium brands increasingly drawn to the fashion outlet centre format.”
Marianne Wesselo, regional business director of VIA Outlets, commented: “This expansion marks the next step in a journey that began in 2014 when VIA Outlets acquired Landquart Fashion Outlet. Following continuous upgrades in recent years, this new extension enables us to further strengthen the destination as a place where brands can grow, and guests enjoy an experience defined by quality, contemporary design, and attention to detail, all while advancing the sustainability initiatives that underpin our ambition to reach our Net Zero emissions target by 2050 across the portfolio.”
