VIA Outlets taps Marianne Wesselo to lead Central Europe growth

VIA Outlets has named Marianne Wesselo as the new regional business director for its Central European operations.

In this role, she will oversee three premium fashion outlets: Batavia Stad (Netherlands), Landquart (Switzerland), and Zweibrücker (Germany). Wesselo, who is now part of VIA Outlets' Executive Leadership Team, will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, Johan Bergenthal.
Wesselo brings over 30 years of experience in the retail and retail real estate sectors, with previous senior roles at Corio/Klépierre, where she led the redevelopment of the Hoog Catharijne shopping centre, and most recently as head of Retail Asset Management for the Netherlands and Belgium at CBRE Investment Management. Her extensive experience is expected to drive growth in VIA Outlets' Central Region.
Johan Bergenthal, COO at VIA Outlets, said: “Marianne’s appointment is fundamental for the execution of VIA Outlets’ organic growth strategy with our three outlet centres in the central region in the starting blocks poised for further growth. Landquart Fashion Outlet is preparing to open a 4,800m² extension in March next year, and we are actively working on expansion plans for both Zweibrücken Fashion Outlet and Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet. Strong regional leadership will be key to unlocking the full potential of these assets.”
