WDP grows Belgian logistics cluster to 80,000 m2

Belgian developer WDP is expanding its logistics presence in Mechelen, Belgium, along the E19 corridor between Antwerp and Brussels, with an additional acquisition totaling approximately 25,000 m2.

This includes over 12,000 m2 of lettable space and about 4,000 m2 of outdoor storage. This strategic acquisition, valued at around €11 mln, is adjacent to two existing WDP warehouses, bringing their total cluster in the area to around 80,000 m2. 
The deal, completed via a contribution in kind for 525,865 new WDP shares, offers a net operating income yield of at least 7% at market rent, and leasing discussions are already underway. This investment enhances WDP's position in a land-scarce region and provides future redevelopment opportunities, supporting the company's sustainable growth. 
WDP's international portfolio now encompasses over 8 mln m2 of logistics and semi-industrial properties across more than 350 prime locations in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, Germany, and Romania.
