WDP takes full control of Luxembourg platform

Belgian logistics specialist WDP has gained full control of its Luxembourg operations, WDP Luxembourg, by completing an asset swap with the Luxembourg State.

In a balance sheet-neutral transaction, WDP acquired the State's 45% stake in their former joint venture and subsequently sold a logistics site in Foetz (acquired in 2025) to the Luxembourg State. This move simplifies WDP's group structure and supports its future growth in Luxembourg.

WDP initially entered the Luxembourg market in 2016 through a joint venture with the Luxembourg State to develop logistics infrastructure in the Eurohub Sud and Eurohub Centre parks. This partnership grew into a multimodal logistics hub valued at approximately €175 mln, encompassing five logistics assets with around 140,000 m² of leasable area.

With the initial goals of the joint venture achieved, the Luxembourg State decided to sell its 45% share in WDP Luxembourg to WDP Invest, a wholly-owned subsidiary of WDP. Consequently, WDP Luxembourg is now fully owned and consolidated within the WDP Group. Following this, WDP sold the Foetz logistics site, a 17,000 m² logistics property adjacent to the State's incubator facilities, to the Luxembourg State.
