WestInvest InterSelect enters Swiss logistics market

Deka Immobilien has completed the acquisition of the GXO Sant'Antonino logistics centre in Sant'Antonino, Ticino, Switzerland, for its WestInvest InterSelect fund.

The purchase price and seller details are not being disclosed.
Built in 2013, the facility provides over 50,000 m2 of leasable space and 80 parking spaces. It features strong sustainability elements, including two large rooftop photovoltaic systems spanning 20,000 m2, and has earned LEED Platinum certification.
The property is fully leased long-term to GXO Logistics Switzerland, a subsidiary of GXO Logistics, the world's largest pure-play contract logistics provider. 
The centre serves as a shared automated hub for major companies in Switzerland, including a prominent French luxury goods group and a well-known German online retailer. Its location near the motorway and Italian border places it strategically within a key European logistics corridor.
This acquisition marks WestInvest InterSelect's first logistics investment in Switzerland, providing stable long-term rental income from a global tenant and expanding its presence in a crucial European logistics hub.
Deka Immobilien views this acquisition as a strategic move to diversify its portfolio, secure long-term income, and invest in sustainable logistics properties, which are expected to remain crucial in the real estate market.
